Elia Illustrazione Erfea Miriel Schiraldi ACC

The author of The Lord of the rings has strongly influenced my collective imaginary of the fantasy themes. Later I have made a lot of research and I found out that Professor Tolkien was inspired by norse folklore rather than English tradition.
In fact in the latter, elves are pesky and spiteful sprites; nothing like the the tall and dashing figures, almost otherworldly, that Peter Jackson depicted in his epic film trilogy.
All this is fascinating and it is no wonder if this masterpiece has created a huge wake of inspired artists.

Speaking of which, here is my artwork made for a a formidable writer that has created his own cycle of stories set in the universe of Middle-earth.
The characters depicted are Miriel and Erfea.
Here is their description from the author:
The protagonist of my story is Erfea.

“He is a numenorean prince: like most people from his race, Erfea is tall (almost 2 meters), has dark hair and grey eyes.”
“Miriel was the last Princess of Numenor, before the island sank into the ocean […] j like many numenorean women, Miriel is blonde and has blue eyes.”
