Corona…Beerus

CROP BBINUK 007 COVID19 Schiraldi ACC

After the first effects of the Coronavirus, such as the raid in the shop of toilet paper rolls, other strange things happened.

Since the first moment I landed in the UK, in particular in Scotland, I felt like being in the greatest nation of civilization.
Everyone were respecting even the smallest but not less important rules of the good manners: waiting your turn in the queue. Not complaining constantly. Being patient. Letting elderly people to go first or giving them your seat. Being always kind with people who are doing their job, even if you have to complain on something.

One word. Respect. I love this country for the importance it gives to it.

I am not saying that in Italy people are rude, but very often you can be witness of unpleasant situation. I think it happens because in Italy the burocracy is very slow and very often also not very efficient.
So people have learned to make do by themselves. Everyone have their contacts to call to jump on the queue, to have a fast service, to be listened by the authority.
I am sure that it doesn’t means that italian people are condemned for the eternity. The things can be changed. And they will be. It just need time.

Dispite all of this, when the pandemic exploded, I’ve seen very strange things. So stranger that I’ve started to look around of me with a big question mark on my head. What happened to this society? Are you serious? Don’t be such a racist… it’s only a beer.

Yes, you got it. Suddently people were scared by the CORONA Beer! And they were doing the sign of the cross! But…What the hell? 😀

But, I would to argue in favor of people of this country. I can understand their fear, in fact, if in Italy a virus called BarillaVirus (Barilla is on the most important brand of pasta) was on the loose, no one would buy anymore the Barilla pasta. Is that right?

For this reason I wanted to let Bibi tell you about what she saw in the supermarket, in the beer section. https://schiraldiart.com/Bibi%20in%20uk/
